Sergei Yatzenko was a Ukrainian man who gained notoriety for his involvement in the Dnepropetrovsk maniacs case. Along with his accomplices Viktor Sayenko and Igor Suprunyuk, Yatzenko committed a series of brutal murders in the city of Dnepropetrovsk in 2007.
The trio became known as the Dnepropetrovsk maniacs after they killed and mutilated at least 21 people, including women, children, and elderly individuals. The crimes shocked the nation and garnered international media attention.
Yatzenko and his accomplices were eventually arrested and convicted of the murders. Yatzenko confessed to his involvement in the crimes and was sentenced to life in prison. Sayenko and Suprunyuk were also given life sentences.
